The Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center (CCAR) is organizing AgroFin Moldova 2025 – The Finance Fair for Agriculture and Rural Development during May–June of this year. The event is dedicated to farmers and entrepreneurs developing businesses in the agricultural sector.

The fair will be held regionally, with the aim of providing farmers with information about financing opportunities offered by both public and private sector institutions.

Carolina Chiper, Director of CCAR:

“While conducting a series of training sessions and workshops in various districts across the country, we surveyed participating farmers and noticed that they consistently raise the topic of business financing. In this context, the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center decided to organize an event for farmers that brings together all the financiers developing financial products for the agricultural sector in the Republic of Moldova. This is how the idea of organizing the AgroFin 2025 event came about. At the same time, we thought it should not be held only in Chișinău, but also in three regional centers.”

Thus, AgroFin Moldova 2025 will be organized as follows:

• May 15 – in Bălți
• May 30 – in Chișinău
• June 6 – in Cahul

The Director also stated that, so far, eight institutions have confirmed their participation and expressed interest in informing farmers about the funding sources and financial products they offer.

“We’re referring to state institutions such as AIPA, ODA, UCIP IFAD projects, AGGRI, and others. We will also cover the topic of agricultural insurance, and commercial banks will take part as well, presenting their offers for the agricultural sector. We aim to gather as many farmers as possible, who will have access both to the conference area—where presentations from all the institutions mentioned above will take place—and to the exhibition area, where they can interact directly and ask personalized questions to representatives of the financial institutions.”

“For the Bălți area, we aimed to bring together all farmers from the Northern region. In Chișinău, we plan to gather farmers from all districts in the Central region, and in Cahul, we will invite farmers from the Southern region. The event is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA), and we will also involve relevant associations and district agricultural departments. We hope this event will become an annual, traditional gathering, giving farmers the confidence that once a year, all players in the agricultural finance sector come together on a single platform—so they don’t have to make an effort to find each institution separately.”
