Agricultural producers are invited to register for the second edition of the AgroFin Fair of Financiers for Agriculture and Rural Development, an event dedicated to facilitating access to financing and relevant information for the development of agricultural businesses.

Traditionally, the event will be held in three locations:

19 May — Chișinău
26 May — Bălți
04 June — Roșu village, Cahul district

AgroFin is organized by the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.

This year’s edition will focus on familiarizing agricultural producers with the new subsidy policy.

“During the event, the new agricultural development policies and strategies will be presented. A special emphasis will be placed by AIPA on the new subsidy rules, which farmers need to comply with. This is, in fact, the essence of this year’s edition, given that both small and large farmers are expecting more clarity regarding the evolution of subsidization in the coming years.

A new element is the expansion of the format. In addition to the financiers already present — public institutions, donors, banks and insurance companies — input suppliers will also participate. Through their exhibition stands, they will provide practical information on costs, adaptation to current conditions and rules for using the products,” said Carolina Chiper, Executive Director of the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center.

The event will also include an outdoor exhibition area, where solutions, technologies and equipment for the development of agricultural businesses will be presented.

The Fair of Financiers for Agriculture and Rural Development aims to bring financing closer to farmers. The 2025 edition brought together more than 500 farmers and 10 financing institutions.

The event is organized with the support of the PROGRESS project, funded by the Government of Germany and implemented by a consortium of organizations led by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ Moldova) GmbH, in partnership with the European Business Association (EBA) Moldova, IEF, OECD and RECC.
