The management of the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center participated, during 11–13 March, in the event “Agricultural education — a key element for generational renewal in agriculture in Romania and the Republic of Moldova”, held in Bucharest. The agenda included study visits and discussion sessions focused on the modernisation of agricultural education, the development of practical skills of young farmers, digitalisation, and the use of new technologies in vocational training.

The delegation of the Republic of Moldova includes 21 participants — representatives of agricultural colleges, centres of excellence and vocational schools, as well as sectoral associations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, and the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center.

The participation of the Center aims to strengthen cooperation between education institutions and the agricultural sector, as well as to facilitate the exchange of best practices in agricultural advisory services, farmer training, and knowledge transfer to rural areas. Discussions address topics such as work-based learning, partnerships between education institutions and farmers, the digitalisation of agricultural education, and the development of skills required for modern agriculture.

The event also provided an opportunity to identify new directions for cooperation between institutions from the Republic of Moldova and Romania in the fields of agricultural education, vocational training, and the development of advisory services for farmers.
